Insights on Bullying

KiVa Antibullying Program and INVEST Research Flagship organize a two-part webinar series on school and online bullying.

The first part of the webinars concerns some basic questions regarding school and online bullying phenomena, with some new twist as well as recent research findings. Assistant Professor Claire Garandeau and Professor Christina Salmivalli will open bullying as a phenomenon: what is bullying, why does it happen, what is the nature of the phenomenon, forms of bullying – face-to-face and online and short- and long-term consequences of bullying. Garandeau and Salmivalli also talk about different forms of bullying: school bullying and online bullying. They also report preventive work and targeted intervention and what adults should do when bullying is detected.
